Pricing and fees
Guapocado is not a Merchant of Record. Stripe stays your payment processor and you keep your own Stripe account; Guapocado adds a thin orchestration layer on top.
What you pay

Production access
Section titled “Production access”The sandbox (test) environment is always free. Production (live) requires
a paid plan — it is gated by the production_access entitlement. Free plans are
sandbox-only; paid plans unlock live keys and live Stripe.
Transaction take-rate
Section titled “Transaction take-rate”On transactions that flow through your connected Stripe account, Guapocado takes 1%, capped at $2.00 per transaction. The cap means the effective rate falls below 1% on larger transactions (e.g. 0.2% on a $1,000 charge).
The take-rate is only chargeable on Stripe Connect accounts (see below). It is configurable, and enterprise customers can negotiate a custom rate.
Sandbox limits
Section titled “Sandbox limits”Because sandbox is free, it is rate-limited more conservatively than production. Use it for development and testing; move to a paid plan for production traffic.
Stripe Connect is required
Section titled “Stripe Connect is required”Guapocado connects to Stripe via Stripe Connect (OAuth) only. This is what lets Guapocado process transactions on your behalf and collect the take-rate. Pasting a raw Stripe API key is not supported — connect your account from the dashboard or onboarding with Connect with Stripe.
Enterprise
Section titled “Enterprise”Negotiated take-rates, custom platform pricing, and committed volume are handled through enterprise deals.
